Our Year 4 tamariki enjoyed their Pukemokemoke Bush Reserve walk. They have been working on science studies related to the bush over the last few weeks. They enjoyed lunch at the reserve and completed sketching activities while in the bush.
One morning when we went over to the swimming pool, we found a HUGE puddle of rain water. So when we were in our togs, we had some fun playing in it, splashing around and getting wet, before we went swimming!
This term we have been learning about Pukemokemoke Reserve. We investigated the history of Pukemokemoke, the different types of native trees, the native birds and insects that all live in this habitat. Our Year 7/8 children have commenced Technology at Morrinsville College this term. They are currently studying fabric. At their first lesson they learnt about the weaving process that is used to create fabric.
